OMB Issues Proposed Revisions to Super Circular
WHAT: On January 22, 2020, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) proposed revisions to the “Super Circular,” which streamlined the requirements for federal awards and grants made to nonprofit organizations, state, local, and tribal governments, and colleges and universities.
The proposed revisions aim to support the President’s Management Agenda, align the Super Circular with statutory requirements, and clarify areas of misinterpretation. OMB intends for these revisions to reduce administrative burden and improve transparency.
