Press Release

For the Fourth Consecutive Year Wiley Rein's Media Practice Remains Only Firm in Chambers USA's Top Tier

June 8, 2012

Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business again ranks Wiley Rein's Media Practice as the only top tier regulatory-focused group in Washington, DC and names Chairman Richard E. Wiley and Media Group co-chair Kathleen A. Kirby as "Leading Lawyers" in their field.

Chambers reports the team is "among the best for licensing, privacy, copyright, trademark and patent concerns" and boasts a wealth of experience working with clients from a range of "traditional and modern industries, including new media companies."

The publication says Dick Wiley is considered "a highly skilled expert on all matters regulatory" and that his "understanding of political issues affecting the media sector is viewed as a key strength."  "Rising star" Kathleen Kirby is building an "enviable regulatory and transactional practice," which includes representing media clients on First Amendment rights and FCC regulations.

The Chambers ratings are based on extensive interviews of law firms' clients, colleagues and competitors.  Inclusion in the directory is determined through a rigorous vetting process.
