Chambers Global Ranks Wiley Rein’s International Trade and Privacy Practices Among Best in the World
Washington, DC — For the fourth consecutive year, Chambers Global: The World's Leading Lawyers for Business has included the firm’s International Trade and Privacy groups in its worldwide rankings.
In addition, several of the firm’s attorneys were again singled out by Chambers Global 2014 as leaders in their field. Privacy Practice chair Kirk J. Nahra, who was named a Leading Lawyer in Privacy & Data Security, garnered praise for being “highly knowledgeable and sensitive to both costs and delivering results on time.” Sources told Chambers that Mr. Nahra is in “the top echelon” of data privacy lawyers. He was recognized for his focus on health care-related matters.
International Trade Practice chair Alan H. Price was selected as a Leading Lawyer in the area of Trade Remedies & Trade Policy, described as a “highly active adviser, who spearheads the firm's representation of clients such as Nucor and the Wind Tower Trade Coalition.” Timothy C. Brightbill was also named a Leading Lawyer in the same field, earning recognition from clients who are “full of confidence in his handling of high-stakes matters.” Clients praised Mr. Brightbill as “masterful in orchestrating the effort—he gave good counsel, and was extremely responsive and precise.”
In addition, Charles Owen Verrill, Jr., who serves as chairman emeritus of the International Trade Practice, was again named a Senior Statesman. Chambers noted his “long experience across a broad range of trade dispute and policy matters.”
The Chambers Global rankings span the legal markets of more than 180 countries and are based on extensive interviews of clients and attorneys.
