DCSA Announces Daniel Lecce as Deputy Director
On January 3, 2022, the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) announced the selection of Daniel J. Lecce as Deputy Director effective January 18, 2022. The DCSA is tasked with overseeing defense contractor facilities and is responsible for personnel vetting and technology protection. As Deputy Director, Lecce will “assist in shaping policies, managing resources, and leading operational activities to accomplish the Agency’s mission.”
Lecce is a retired Marine Corps Major General who most recently served as a staff judge advocate and senior legal advisor to the Commandant of the Marine Corps. He was selected through a process that considered nominations from across the intelligence community, the Department of Defense, and the defense industrial base.
