Greta Peisch Testifies Before the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee on American Trade Enforcement Priorities

Greta M. Peisch, partner in the International Trade Practice, testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means, Trade Subcommittee on American Trade Enforcement Priorities.

In her testimony, Greta discussed three main priorities for tackling both unfair import competition and barriers facing U.S. exporters abroad, including:

  • Sufficient tools and resources, including updated statutory authorities and adequate personnel dedicated to enforcing trade laws.
  • A comprehensive strategy to combat the nonmarket policies and practices of the People’s Republic of China, which has targeted strategic sectors for dominance, undermining critical industries of the United States.
  • Advancing an enforcement agenda that promotes U.S. economic security and leadership.
