Megan Brown on Government Oversight of Cybersecurity
Wiley Privacy, Cyber & Data Governance partner Megan Brown was quoted in Law360 about how the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and a division of the Commerce Department could approach their new cybersecurity responsibilities more rigidly. "If the FCC takes on a prescriptive regulatory role here, you really do risk breaking up some of what, for the telecom sector, has been an effective public-private collaboration. Bringing the Enforcement Bureau in and having it be a compliance function doesn't feel like a good solution," she said.
