January 2013

Michael Toner and Karen Trainer co-authored a chapter in the recently released book Barack Obama and the New America: The 2012 Election and the Changing Face of Politics. The book, edited by Professor Larry J. Sabato of the University of Virginia, includes chapters by top political scholars that examine every facet of the electoral process, including the new media, the convention process, and the evolving electorate.

The chapter co-authored by Toner and Trainer focuses on the impact of federal election laws and the record amounts of money raised and spent on the 2012 presidential election.  Barack Obama and the New America: The 2012 Election and the Changing Face of Politics is available online.
