Azhan excels at distilling complex facts into a concise summary, developing novel legal theories, and creating compelling arguments for both written briefs and oral presentations in court.

In 2024, Azhan was named a firm Pro Bono All Star for performing 150+ hours of pro bono service, and he received special recognition for his work on a housing conditions matter.

Representative Matters

  • Manages daily influx of data in 80,000-claim universe of bankruptcy claims and coordinates individual claim responses.
  • Represented intellectual property attorneys in mediation and negotiated settlement of legal malpractice claim.
  • Developed theory of the case and drafted pro bono amicus brief advocating for autonomy of religious organizations.
  • Secured voluntary dismissal of coverage litigation through pre-dispositive motion advocacy based on applicability of Insured v. Insured exclusion in directors and officers liability policy.
  • Secured favorable settlement allowing pro bono client to remain in unit with abatement of past due rent in eviction defense matter.
  • Provides strong research support for appellate briefs and oral arguments.
  • Drafts summary judgment memoranda in complex commercial insurance litigation matters.
  • Assists in all phases of discovery, including reviewing documents for production, creating privilege logs, and drafting requests and interrogatories.
