Nick advises government contractors and subcontractors in the areas of federal procurement, compliance, and dispute resolution, including in contract claims, appeals, and bid protests. Leveraging his experience in representing multiple large federal government agencies within the Department of Defense, Nick helps clients navigate the complexities of government contract law, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while protecting their interests in contract disputes and procurement matters.

With vast experience in bid protests and contract litigation, Nick joined Wiley after serving as a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Air Force and as the Contract Litigation Team Lead for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) – Troop Support. Prior to his time in government contracts litigation, Nick was an Assistant Public Defender in Maryland, representing hundreds of clients and handling over a dozen jury trials.

Representative Matters

U.S. Department of the Air Force:

  • Represented U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), and U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) in claims and bid protests.
  • Litigated 15 appeals before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals (ASBCA), totaling nearly $120 million in controversy.
  • Successfully defended over $2.6 billion in awards in 46 bid protests before the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO).
  • Served as Agency Counsel in claims and bid protests at the Court of Federal Claims (COFC).
  • Instructor, U.S. Army JAG School Contract Attorney’s Course.

Defense Logistics Agency:

  • Responsible for overseeing all ASBCA contract litigation for DLA Troop Support: over 50 matters with over $10 billion in controversy.
