WRF Partner Serves as Editor and Authors Chapter in ABA Trade Remedy Book

Washington, DC—Wiley Rein & Fielding International Trade partner Timothy C. Brightbill served as an editor and chapter author for the book, Trade Remedies for Global Companies, published this month by the American Bar Association (ABA).  The book is an explanation of the most common forms of U.S. and foreign trade remedy laws, intended to serve as a guide for corporate counsel and other non-experts involved in trade investigations.

Brightbill authored a chapter on trade petitions, which are the starting point for investigations of this nature.  A “how-to” for the petition process,  the chapter discusses the key information that must be included in a petition, the strategic decisions that companies need to make upfront and tips for assembling an effective petition.

Brightbill also served as one of three editors for the book, which was a collaborative effort by the ABA Section on International Law.  More than 15 trade law experts contributed to the  project, including attorneys who work primarily with the U.S. and foreign governments and responding companies.
