Wiley Rein International Trade Practice Ranked among the Nation's Best by Chambers USA

June 12, 2009

The 2009 edition of Chambers USA:  America's Leading Lawyers for Business recognizes Wiley Rein's International Trade Practice as one of the nation's best, commending practice co-chairs Alan H. Price and Charles Owen Verrill, Jr. and partner John B. Reynolds III as "Leading Lawyers" in the field.

As Chambers reports, "the trade group at Wiley Rein offers a comprehensive practice, with expertise in trade remedies, trade policy, import and export controls and WTO litigation."  The team is  "particularly recommended for its advice on sanctions," an area in which Mr. Reynolds is "a prominent figure"  who is singled out by his peers as "their first choice for referrals relating to OFAC."

Reynolds is also recognized  as a  "CFIUS expert," having been active in the areas of national security and foreign investment for over 20 years. Chambers notes that Mr. Price has a "strong reputation in petitioners' side trade litigation and has been involved a variety of matters connected with steel, energy tubular products and lined paper" and "Senior Statesman" Charles Verrill is praised as "a fantastic resource in WTO matters."

The Chambers ratings are based on extensive interviews of law firms' clients, colleagues and competitors.  Inclusion in the directory is determined through a rigorous vetting process whereby Chambers researchers evaluate law firms and attorneys on a number of factors.
