As the directory reports, "representing healthcare and financial services companies on privacy issues is a particular specialty for this Washington, DC-based practice" notable for its ability to "call on a variety of complementary practices within the firm to provide the complete range of privacy and information security advice across all industry areas."

Chambers calls Privacy chair Kirk J. Nahra "a leading member of the medical privacy Bar and specializes in healthcare, privacy, information security, compliance programs and insurance fraud issues for the healthcare and property/casualty insurance industries. The publishers note that Mr. Reynolds "frequently represents clients before the US Departments of State, Treasury, Commerce, Defense and Homeland Security, and before the Office of the US Trade Representative. He has more than two decades of experience in export controls and economic sanctions, and advises on all types of international compliance and enforcement issues.

The Chambers ratings are based on extensive interviews of law firms' clients, colleagues and competitors.  Inclusion is determined through a rigorous vetting process whereby Chambers researchers evaluate law firms and attorneys on a number of factors.
