Chambers USA Ranks Wiley Rein's Privacy Practice among the Nation's Best; Kirk J. Nahra Named "Leading Lawyer"

June 14, 2010

The 2010 edition of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business has singled out Wiley Rein's Privacy Practice as one of the best in the nation in the areas of Privacy & Data Security and Healthcare Privacy and names group chair Kirk J. Nahra as a "Leading Lawyer" in the industry.

The directory reports that the firm draws "from a variety of substantive areas to provide the complete range of privacy and information security advice. More than 20 attorneys represent clients in privacy and security issues."  A source tells Chambers "this team is pragmatic with a fast turnaround time and it doesn't over-lawyer, so the bills are reasonable."

Chambers calls Mr. Nahra an "expert on HIPAA and other healthcare-related areas governed by privacy laws" who "brings more than just his tremendous knowledge of current data privacy and security law-he also brings practical knowledge of what other healthcare organizations are doing and how they are interpreting the law."

The Chambers ratings are based on extensive interviews of clients, colleagues and competitors.  Inclusion is determined through a rigorous vetting process.
