Ambassador David A. Gross to Lead International Telecoms and Internet Policy Work of the U.S. Council for International Business

Wiley Rein partner Ambassador David A. Gross, co-chair of Wiley Rein's International Telecommunications group, has been named the chair of the Information, Communications and Technology Committee of the United States Council for International Business (USCIB). In this role Amb. Gross, who before joining Wiley Rein served in the State Department as the senior U.S. government official responsible for international communications policy, will help represent the business views expressed by USCIB regarding the dynamic policy issues arising from international telecommunications and Internet matters.

In a Council press release, Amb. Gross said, "I am excited about this new opportunity. I have long looked to USCIB as the voice of U.S. business in international policy forums and have respected its active contributions to information and communication technology policy debates."

USCIB's ICT Committee advocates the continued growth of information and communication technologies, while emphasizing free and fair competition, minimal government intervention and the free flow of information and user orientation.

Gross is one of the world's foremost experts on international telecommunications, having addressed the United Nations General Assembly and led more U.S. delegations to major international telecommunication conferences than anyone in modern history. Drawing on his more than 25 years of experience as a global policy maker and corporate executive, Amb.
