James Czaban and Karin Hessler Receive 2011 Burton Award for Legal Achievement

April 26, 2011

James N. Czaban, chair of Wiley Rein's Food & Drug and Product Safety Practice, has been named a recipient of a 2011 Burton Legal Writing Award for his article, "Panacea or Poison Pill: Making Sense of the New Biosimilars Law." Wiley Rein associate Karin A. Hessler co-authored the article with Mr. Czaban. Originally published in BNA's Pharmaceutical Law & Industry Report in May 2010, the article can be read here.

Dedicated to "rewarding excellence, encouraging perfection, and defining the standards for others to follow," the Burton Awards are given annually to attorneys who demonstrate "effective legal writing" that uses "plain, clear and concise language," while avoiding "archaic, stilted legalese."

The award will be presented to this year's 30 winners on June 13, 2011 in a ceremony at the Library of Congress. More information on the 2011 Burton Awards can be found here.
