Communications Litigator Christopher S. Huther Joins Wiley Rein

August 8, 2011

Christopher S. Huther, an experienced litigator and counsel to some of the nation's largest telecommunications companies, has joined Wiley Rein as a partner in its preeminent Communications Practice. Specializing in complex litigation and administrative proceedings, Mr. Huther regularly appears before federal, state and appellate courts, as well as the FCC and state regulatory commissions.

Formerly the chair of the Communications Group in the D.C. office of Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, Mr. Huther adds depth to a group that has been described as the "Brand Name" of communications law. His practice focuses on domestic and international competition policy, the deployment of broadband infrastructure, joint use and pole attachment issues, universal service and E-Rate compliance, rate-setting methodologies and disputes, and equipment authorizations.

Managing Partner and Communications Practice leader Richard E. Wiley said, "We are delighted to welcome Chris to the firm and our exceptional group of attorneys. His extensive knowledge of the telecom industry, as well as his considerable litigation experience, wonderfully complements and expands our existing capabilities. Chris is a first-rate addition to our team."

Mr. Huther received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A., cum laude, from Radford University. He is a prolific author and frequent speaker on communications and telecommunications topics.
