November 19, 2013

Campaigns & Elections has named Wiley Rein Election Law & Government Ethics Practice co-chair Michael E. Toner one of its top 50 “influencers” whose efforts “will shape the outcome of 2014 and beyond.”  Mr. Toner was noted as being among the 10 top campaign finance attorneys ranked in its “Enforcers” category as the magazine looks ahead to the 2014 midterm elections.  He is described as “a former Federal Election Commission chairman with deep Republican connections” whose “services are sure to be sought after if, as expected, the campaign finance landscape continues to shift in 2014.”  Campaigns & Elections based its rankings for “The Influencers 50” on nearly 100 interviews and selected 10 individuals in five different categories.

Mr. Toner is a seasoned election law expert and political veteran with a wealth of experience advising candidates, political committees, trade associations, and corporate clients on federal and state election law compliance.  He is a prolific author and has appeared as a guest commentator on Fox News Channel, ABC News, CBS Evening news, Bloomberg News, Fox Business Network, C-SPAN, and National Public Radio, among others.  Mr. Toner is also recognized in the top tier of election lawyers by Chambers USA.
