Wiley Rein Achieves Favorable Ruling in Pro Bono Child Custody Case

February 4, 2014

Wiley Rein attorney Ari Meltzer recently secured a pro bono success in a child custody case on behalf of a client.

Mr. Meltzer was able to negotiate a favorable agreement for his client, a mother seeking custody and financial support from the child’s biological father.  The father agreed to pay retroactively the full support amount sought by the mother, who was granted temporary legal and physical custody of the child.  A hearing is scheduled for April 24, 2014, in which the child’s care will be reevaluated.

Wiley Rein took the case through the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Clinic.  The firm prides itself on a strong tradition of pro bono service to both local and global communities.
