Wiley Rein Bankruptcy Attorneys Named to Board of DC Women’s Professional Network

Two Wiley Rein attorneys have been named to the board of directors of the Washington, DC network of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC).  Lauren McKelvey and Rebecca Saitta, will serve as co-chair of the Board and co-chair of the Communications Committee, respectively.  IWIRC is “the premier organization for women in the restructuring and insolvency professions”  with  “a global membership of more than 1,200 attorneys, bankers, corporate-turnaround professionals, financial advisors and other restructuring practitioners.”

Ms. Saitta is of counsel and Ms. McKelvey is an associate in Wiley Rein’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Practice.  They represent debtors, creditors, and trustees on a variety of bankruptcy and insolvency issues in bankruptcy courts in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and nationwide, including businesses in chapter 11 reorganizations, parties in loan restructures, trustees in fraud and corporate investigations, parties to bankruptcy asset sales and both plaintiffs and defendants in preferential transfer and avoidance actions.

Ms. Saitta is the Associate Editor of NABTalk, the quarterly journal of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.  She also serves on the Advisory Board for the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), Mid-Atlantic Bankruptcy Workshop.  Ms. McKelvey, named one of Virginia’s “Rising Stars” for Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights by Super Lawyers magazine, serves on ABI’s International Committee.
