March 12, 2015

For the fifth consecutive year, Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business has included Wiley Rein’s International Trade and Privacy groups in its worldwide rankings.

In addition, several of the firm’s attorneys were again singled out by Chambers Global 2015 as leaders in their fields. Privacy Practice chair Kirk J. Nahra, who was named a Leading Lawyer in Privacy & Data Security, garnered praise for being a thought leader on nationwide health care policy and “the guy you need to call” for complex Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) issues.

International Trade Practice chair Alan H. Price was selected as a Leading Lawyer in the area of Trade Remedies & Trade Policy, described as a highly regarded trade litigator whose recent experience includes World Trade Organization (WTO) proceedings and U.S. antidumping reviews. He is praised by clients for his “big-picture-oriented” approach and talent for explaining strategy “clearly and concisely.”

Timothy C. Brightbill was also named a Leading Lawyer in the same field, earning recognition for his adept handling of trade disputes. Clients said they value the “thorough and detailed” quality of his work and his excellent communication skills.

Serena D. Moe was ranked as a Leading Lawyer in the area of Export Controls & Economic Sanctions. Ms. Moe is noted for her extensive sanctions expertise and for being particularly well-placed to advise financial institutions on compliance issues.

In addition, Charles Owen Verrill, Jr., who serves as chairman emeritus of the International Trade Practice, was again named a Senior Statesman. Chambers noted his “eminent reputation in the fields of trade policy and litigation.”

The Chambers Global rankings span the legal markets of more than 180 countries and are based on extensive interviews with clients and attorneys.
