Wiley’s Insurance Practice Named a Finalist for ‘Legal Team of the Year’ by Business Insurance Magazine

January 28, 2020

Washington, DC – For the third consecutive year, Wiley’s preeminent Insurance Practice was named one of five national finalists for “Legal Team of the Year” by Business Insurance (BI) magazine in its 2020 U.S. Insurance Awards. The annual awards program highlights exceptional work by insurance professionals in the commercial insurance and risk management sector, while also raising money to educate and develop new talent in the industry.

A panel of risk managers will assess the finalists, and the highest-scoring team in each of 14 categories will be announced at an awards event in New York on March 12.

The awards event will raise funds for the BI Scholarship, an endowment that opens new opportunities to provide scholarships, grants and programming at universities without risk management degree programs, including historically black colleges and universities.

With a deep bench that stands out for its range of legal expertise and an insider’s understanding of the insurance industry, Wiley’s prominent Insurance Practice has a record of scoring high-profile victories for clients. The team successfully represents insurers on complicated and high-exposure matters, including cyber, directors and officers, financial institution liability, general liability and other property and casualty lines.

The finalists were selected by senior Business Insurance staff from nominations submitted to the publication. To see the list of the 2020 U.S. Insurance Awards finalists, please click here.
