Wiley Receives 2023 Diversity Award from AT&T

November 3, 2023

Washington, DC – Wiley, a preeminent DC law firm that boasts the largest Telecom, Media & Technology Practice in the country, has been selected as the 2023 recipient of AT&T’s Legal Department Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award for Diversity.

Telecom, Media & Technology co-chair Jennifer D. Hindin and Chief Diversity Officer Rashida MacMurray-Abdullah accepted the award at AT&T’s annual legal conference in Dallas, TX on November 2.

The AT&T Diversity Awards recognize law firms making significant strides in closing the gap to increase diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the legal profession. Wiley, which serves as AT&T’s outside counsel, is proud that the firm’s DEI efforts align with AT&T’s goal of partnering with their outside counsel to affect positive change in the legal community.

Wiley previously won AT&T’s Pipeline Award in 2018 and 2021 for its efforts in developing programs and initiatives to encourage diversity, equity, and inclusion within the firm.

“Our firm is committed to creating a culture of belonging where all leaders can thrive,” said MacMurray-Abdullah. “Wiley shares in AT&T’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion as important aspects of our respective visions and strategies. We believe our success as a firm is rooted in the rich and cultural diversity of our teams, our clients, and our community, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with AT&T in advocating for sustained change in the legal profession - including promoting inclusion and belonging within our own organizations.”
