Wiley Rein’s Michael Toner To Serve as Delegate Analyst for CNN

Washington DCMichael E. Toner, co-chair of Wiley Rein LLP’s Election Law & Government Ethics Practice, will serve as a “delegate analyst” for CNN between now and the 2016 Republican National Convention, which will be held in Cleveland from July 18 to July 21—and which has the potential to be a contested convention. In his role as delegate analyst, Mr. Toner will “examine the dynamics of what promises to be a nailbiter of a GOP convention,” as reported yesterday in The Washington Post.

Mr. Toner is a former chairman of the Federal Election Commission (FEC), and former chief counsel at the Republican National Committee. He is a seasoned election law expert and political veteran with a wealth of experience advising candidates, political committees, trade associations, and corporate clients on federal and state election law compliance.
