Peter Shields Named One of DC Area’s Top Business Leaders by Washington Business Journal

Washington, DC—Wiley Rein Managing Partner Peter D. Shields was honored as a Managing Partner of the Year by the Washington Business Journal during its 2017 CEO of the Year and C-Suite Awards. Mr. Shields “touts an impressive resume as managing partner,” according to the publication’s profile of his accomplishments.

The December 7 ceremony was held at The Watergate Hotel in Washington. In addition to the CEO of the Year and Lifetime Achievement recognitions, 20 C-Suite Awards were given in six other categories to exceptional individuals whose vital leadership and business savvy over the past year has been instrumental to the success of their DC-area companies. Mr. Shields was the only law firm executive named to the prestigious list.

The Washington Business Journal’s editorial staff selected the honorees for this esteemed list based on the following criteria: established leadership with a strong record of innovation, outstanding performance, a commitment to quality, a strong vision, a commitment to diversity in the workplace, and contributions to the Greater Washington community.
