Wiley Rein Receives Prestigious ‘Seven Seals Award’ for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve

September 8, 2017

Washington, DC—Wiley Rein LLP has received the Seven Seals Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a U.S. Department of Defense program, for its “meritorious leadership and initiative” in support of the men and women who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. The award was presented at the District of Columbia ESGR Committee Employer Award Dinner on September 7, 2017, which was held at the Fort Myer Officers’ Club in Arlington, Virginia.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious award and to be recognized by ESGR,” said Wiley Rein Managing Partner Peter D. Shields. “Our firm is proud to support those who serve our country as reservists, recognizing their unique role in our civilian workforce and their exceptional leadership and dedication.”

Jennifer S. Zucker, a partner in Wiley Rein’s Government Contracts Practice, nominated Wiley Rein for the Seven Seals Award. Ms. Zucker has served as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve since 2005, most recently as Commander of the 13th Legal Operations Detachment (Expert). In that position, she commands highly experienced Reserve Judge Advocates performing duties at the Office of The Judge Advocate General, U.S. Army Legal Services Agency, The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School, and the U.S. Army Claims Service, Upper Marlboro, MD.

The Seven Seals Award is the broadest and most inclusive award given by ESGR and is presented at the discretion of the State Chair or by ESGR senior leadership. The award recognizes significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative, or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission, which includes the efforts of the more than 4,500 volunteers who carry out the program’s goals across the nation on a daily basis.
