Wiley Rein Recognized in LMG Life Sciences 2015 Guide as a Leader in FDA Law for Pharmaceutical Work

Attorneys Ranked in Regulatory, IP, and Non-IP Litigation and Enforcement
December 2, 2015

In the LMG Life Sciences 2015 Guide to Leading Firms and Attorneys in Europe and North America, Wiley Rein LLP was one of the top eight U.S. firms recognized for FDA: Pharmaceutical in its Regulatory listings. The guide also gave “Life Sciences Star” individual rankings to: Food & Drug Law Practice chair James N. Czaban in the Regulatory section for FDA: Pharmaceutical and FDA: Medical Devices; of counsel Sonali P. Gunawardhana, also in the Regulatory section; White Collar Defense & Government Investigations partner Ralph J. Caccia for Government Enforcement/Investigation in the Non-IP Litigation and Enforcement section; and Intellectual Property Practice chair emeritus James H. Wallace, Jr. in the Intellectual Property section.

Wiley Rein’s life sciences clients include biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies at different stages of growth, as well as their executives. The firm’s attorneys work collaboratively to assess and meet client needs, with an understanding of the unique business cycle of life sciences products and the changing regulatory, competitive, and consumer demands that the industry faces.

Wiley Rein’s Food & Drug Law Practice, which was ranked by LMG Life Sciences this year, traces its roots from the founding of the firm 32 years ago, and offers the depth of experience and breadth of resources to effectively handle both complex legal and regulatory challenges, and the more routine but crucial regulatory tasks required of Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-regulated companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food, and dietary supplement industries.

LMG Life Sciences is a legal directory focusing on U.S. law firms and attorneys who work with life sciences companies. The guide is produced by the Legal Media Group and its editorial structure is divided into categories that cover traditional practice areas that relate to life sciences. Research for the publication was based on interviews and surveys completed by leading lawyers who are active in the market. LMG also spoke with clients during the research process, in addition to reviewing public information.
