Wiley Rein and U.S. Chamber of Commerce Co-Author Report on Internet of Things Security

Washington, DC—Wiley Rein LLP partnered with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to author a pivotal report offering key principles for Internet of Things (IoT) security. Released today by the U.S. Chamber, the report – The IoT Revolution and Our Digital Security – proposes recommendations for policymakers and industry experts to collaborate in reducing barriers to innovation and co-creating global frameworks to improve IoT security and resilience.

The report was issued as part of a business delegation to Brussels, Paris, and London to discuss transatlantic cybersecurity efforts. The U.S. Chamber is leading the delegation, which also includes Wiley Rein.

Because the IoT market is still developing, the report urges national IoT strategies to be developed based on thoughtful study and stakeholder input. The report also explores emerging IoT use cases and the complexity of the entire ecosystem.
