Wiley Rein’s International Trade Practice Named Finalist in AMM’s 2018 Annual Awards for Steel Excellence

April 5, 2018

Washington, DC — Wiley Rein LLP was named one of four national finalists for “Legal Services Provider of the Year,” as part of the 2018 American Metal Market (AMM) Awards for Steel Excellence. This is the second consecutive year that Wiley Rein was named to the list of finalists for this highly competitive annual award.

“We again had an outstanding response in both quality and quantity of the nominations, reflecting the continued strengthening of the global steel industry and the innovative solutions to further increase competitiveness of individual companies and the industry at large,” said AMM Chief Executive Officer Raju Daswani.

This year’s 53 finalists were named in 15 categories, and nominations were submitted from throughout the steel supply chain. The awards recognize companies that have demonstrated best-in-class performance in their respective segments of the steel industry.

Finalists were selected by senior AMM editors, and entries will be scored by steel industry veterans who will serve as judges to select the winners. AMM will announce the winners at the annual Steel Awards Dinner on June 26 in New York City. The awards event is held in conjunction with the annual global Steel Success Strategies conference, co-organized by AMM. Wiley Rein International Trade Practice chair Alan H. Price will be a panelist for a discussion of “Steel Marketplace: Winning Strategies” on June 26 at 4:15 p.m.

Wiley Rein’s International Trade Team has an excellent record of winning complex and high-profile antidumping and countervailing duty cases on behalf of domestic steel companies and other major U.S. industries before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Court of International Trade, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Notably, Wiley Rein has helped level the global playing field for the U.S. steel industry by scoring numerous victories on behalf of its clients in the past year.
