Wiley Rein’s Megan Brown to Moderate Capitol Hill Panel on IoT’s Information Security Implications
Washington, DC—Megan L. Brown, partner in Wiley Rein’s leading Telecom, Media & Technology Practice, will moderate a panel discussion on Capitol Hill next week, focusing on the information security aspects of the Internet of Things (IoT) landscape.
The complimentary luncheon program, “IoT from Startups to Titans: Building a Healthy Ecosystem,” will be held on Thursday, April 20, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in Room HVC-201 of the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. The event is hosted by the Women’s High-Tech Coalition, Twilio, and the Congressional IoT Caucus.
The speakers on the panel will include Dena Graziano, Director of Federal Government Affairs at Symantec Corporation; Sheila Jembekar, Associate General Counsel at Twilio, Inc.; and Avanti Kenjalkar, Product Marketing Manager for the Internet of Things (IoT), VMware.
The program will feature representatives from companies of all sizes from different parts of the industry and in all stages of growth discussing the constantly changing IoT landscape. Twilio and the Entertainment Software Association will provide brief demonstrations. The event is geared to a congressional and industry government affairs audience.
Ms. Brown represents corporations in complex litigation and regulatory proceedings concerning technological innovation, consumer disclosures, and regulatory burdens, with a focus on cybersecurity. She is a board member of the Women’s High-Tech Coalition (WHTC), which was founded in 2000. WHTC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that promotes the exchange of ideas among leaders in the public and private sectors whose focus is technology, innovation, and the development of public policy related to technology.
