Wiley Rein’s Richard A. Simpson Interviews Prominent Criminal Defense Attorney Alan Dershowitz at ABA Spring Legal Malpractice Conference
Washington, DC — Wiley Rein partner Richard A. Simpson sat down with Alan Dershowitz at the American Bar Association’s Spring 2017 Legal Malpractice Conference to discuss Professor Dershowitz’s life in the law, including the ethical and professional challenges he has faced throughout his career.
Professor. Dershowitz, Harvard Law School Professor Emeritus, is one of the most prominent lawyers in the country and has been called “the best known criminal defense lawyer in the world.” He has represented high-profile clients including O.J. Simpson, Claus von Bulow, Patty Hearst, President Clinton, Julian Assange, and former presidents of the Ukraine and Pakistan, among others.
Mr. Simpson, who represented Mr. Dershowitz in a recent defamation case in Florida, is a member of Wiley Rein’s Litigation, Appellate, Insurance, and White Collar Defense & Government Investigations teams. He has a national trial court and appellate litigation practice and has defended law firms and lawyers in claims arising from a wide variety of complex underlying representations, including bankruptcy, intellectual property, international trade, and securities, among many others.
